Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas (BHSET), in Beaumont, Texas has announced Karen Tomsu as Chief Nursing Officer. BHSET is a 364-bed, multi-campus organization and market leader.
As CNO, Tomsu will serve as a critical leader of BHSET, overseeing directly and indirectly all nursing care provided at its facilities. As a member of the leadership team, Tomsu will represent the interests of patients and caregivers during strategic and policy-related discussions and decisions. In addition to leading the nursing division, she will serve on a wide variety of leadership, management, medical staff and corporate committees.

Tomsu most recently served as Chief Nursing Officer for Conroe Regional Medical Center in Conroe, Texas, and prior to that served in the same role for Twelve Oaks Medical Center in Houston, TX. She has 20 years of experience in nursing and healthcare management, and holds a Doctorate in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University and a Masters Degree in Nursing from University of Phoenix.
