FaithSearch Partners Completes CFO Search for Pacific Northwest System  

FaithSearch Partners announced today Don Welch, Jr., has been named Regional Chief Financial Officer of the Northwest Region of Adventist Health, based in Portland, OR. The region encompasses four acute care hospitals and multiple other healthcare entities in the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii.

Welch will carry dual roles as the first Regional CFO for the Northwest Region of Adventist Health as well as the CFO for the Adventist Medical Center Portland, overseeing both directly and indirectly all the financial and related services for the Region.

“Don brings significant relevant experience to Adventist Health.  He comes from a long background of CFO leadership in a well-managed, large health system,” said Ed Reifsnyder, Senior Vice President at FaithSearch Partners. “He not only has many years of successful CFO experience, but has also most recently served as a hospital Chief Operating Officer and has a deep understanding of hospital operations. He is highly qualified in LEAN management, which will be an added advantage to Adventist Health.”

Welch comes from Adventist Health System’s Florida Hospital Zephyrhills in the Tampa, FL, area, where he served as Vice President and CFO, then COO. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southern Adventist University as well as an MBA in business administration from the Crummer Graduate School of Business.

Adventist Health is a faith-based, non-profit healthcare delivery system founded  in 1866. It includes 19 hospitals in the western U.S. with more than 2,800 beds and generates more than $2.5 billion in annual net revenue.
