National Faith-based System Names Divisional CIO

Adventist Health System (AHS) has named Herb Keller as its new Chief Information Officer of AHS Information Services after a successful search process with FaithSearch Partners. Adventist Health System is one of the largest faith-based, non-profit healthcare systems in the country, spanning 45 hospitals from the Rocky Mountains to the East Coast..

As CIO, Keller will lead in the execution of AHS’s strategic IT plan, which will aggressively focus on repositioning AHS for the emerging model of healthcare. utilizing clinical information, population health management, communication tools through personal technologies, integrated ambulatory electronic medical records and more. He is also responsible for all overarching information technology operations.

“Herb brings a strong background in healthcare information technology to his new role. He was an internal candidate who emerged as the best fit for the current needs at Adventist Health System,” said Ed Reifsnyder, Senior Vice President at FaithSearch Partners. In his previous position, Keller was instrumental in forging a plan for convergence of IT platforms and software across all of AHS. In addition to his in-depth technical skills and knowledge, Keller has deep knowledge of AHS and people across the organization, which will facilitate his success.”

Keller most recently served as Chief Technology Officer for Adventist Health System, and prior to that served in the same role for the Florida Hospital facility of AHS. He holds a degree in technology from Andrews University and has nearly a decade of executive level
