FaithSearch Leads Search for COO at Tertiary Hospital in Florida

FaithSearch Partners has been retained to conduct the search for the Chief Operating Officer for Florida Hospital Tampa in Tampa, Florida. Florida Hospital Tampa is a 500-bed, $450M revenue tertiary teaching hospital operated by Adventist Health System (AHS) and serves as the flagship hospital for the six-hospital West Florida Division of AHS. Based in Altamonte Springs in the Orlando area, AHS is a $9 billion organization and the largest Protestant healthcare system in the U.S., operating more than 40 faith-based acute care hospitals and other healthcare entities from the Rocky Mountains to Florida.

Reporting to the CEO, the new Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for all inpatient operations at the facility with several senior level direct reports, including the Chief Nurse Executive.  The hospital is operating with a healthy margin, and a major expansion is planned to begin later this year.

“Florida Hospital Tampa is an impressive organization, and we are honored to be assisting them with this search,” said Ed Fry, President at FaithSearch Partners. “The future Chief Operating Officer will need to be a gifted leader with substantive operational experience, having the ability to drive innovation in cost reduction while improving the quality of care. Since Florida Hospital Tampa is part of Adventist Health System, the new Chief Operating Officer will also need a strong personal commitment to their mission of ‘extending the healing ministry of Christ.’”
