FaithSearch Partners has been retained to manage the search for the Executive Director for Loma Linda University International Heart Institute. The Heart Institute is part of Loma University Medical Center (LLUMC) which is a 922-bed academic teaching hospital in the Inland Empire region of southern California. The Medical Center is known to be a pioneer in pediatric heart transplantation. Currently, LLUMC is undergoing a $1.2 billion expansion on its main medical campus.
The Executive Director of the International Heart Institute serves as the Adult and Pediatric cardiac service line leader at LLUMC and reports to the Medical Center Chief Operating Officer. This Executive Director provides clinical and operational leadership to the Cardiac Medical Directors and directors and will lead $34 million in cardiac capital purchases and construction over the next four years.
“Loma Linda University Medical Center is an outstanding teaching organization with the distinction of being the first to perform a successful neonatal human-to-human heart transplant,” said Ivan Bartolome, Senior Vice President at FaithSearch Partners. “The new Executive Director will need to be an experienced service-line leader who can embrace Loma Linda’s faith-based mission, strategically grow the program, and prepare for the future through a significant capital spend.”
