FaithSearch Partners’ Mission Enterprise Division has begun a search for a Chief Executive Officer to lead Charlotte-based soccer ministry, Missionary Athletes International.

Missionary Athletes International (MAI) spreads the message of the Gospel and disciples young athletes through the organizing of soccer teams, camps, and short-term soccer tours abroad. MAI also trains leaders to become sports ministers who develop partnerships with other Christian agencies. Over the last two years, MAI has impacted more than 30,000 lives through soccer camps, competitive international team play, coach training, and international ministry tours.

The Chief Executive Officer will determine strategic direction for the ministry and be responsible for directing MAI’s Executive Leadership Team, which includes the U.S. National Director, International Director, Director of Finance and Administration, and Director of Mission Support Services.

“We are excited MAI chose us as their partner in the search for a new CEO and can’t wait to find the talented leader who is passionate about seeing God’s work continue in this unique ministry niche,” said Greg Barnes, President of FaithSearch’s Mission Enterprise Division. Mission Enterprise Senior Vice President, Jeff Jernigan, adds, “MAI is in its fourth decade of ministry, and they have a history of generating teams that cultivate influential coaches and players for Christ. If I can’t play for one of their teams, I’m happy I can be a part of seeing their mission continue.”
