FaithSearch Partners is pleased to announce that the Dallas Seminary Foundation, a subsidiary and key support arm of Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS), has selected Scott Talbot as its next Executive Director.
As Executive Director, Talbot will direct overall administration of the Foundation and help secure meaningful gifts to promote DTS’s continued health and missional success. He and his wife, Susan, will relocate from the Seattle area for the role.
John Williams, Vice President and Consultant for FaithSearch’s Mission Enterprise team, calls Talbot “A philanthropic leader whose 20+ years of planned giving counsel has helped donors and their families financially advance significant ministry opportunities for God’s Kingdom.” Mission Enterprise Division President Greg Barnes adds, “Mr. Talbot’s background in development at a number of leading Christian nonprofits as well as his own seminary experience make him an outstanding choice for the Foundation Executive Director. He will help carry the work of the ministry well into the future.”
Talbot is no stranger to the world of financial and planned-giving. Prior to assuming his role as Executive Director of Dallas Seminary Foundation, he served as Senior Executive Director of Planned Giving for World Vision. He has also held development roles for InTouch Ministries and Cru. Talbot has a Master of Divinity from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree in Bible & Pastoral Studies from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College.
The Dallas Seminary Foundation (DSF) exists to support the mission of Dallas Theological Seminary by offering charitable planned giving and other related services to friends of the Seminary. DSF services include wills and bequests, income planning, donor advised funds, scholarship creation, and advisory services. Gifts generated through Foundation efforts help ensure that DTS’ mission to “teach truth, and love well” continues for generations to come.
