Tray brings over a decade of diverse leadership experience across executive search, education, and federal investigation. Tray has successfully led high-level search processes, focusing on identifying and placing mission-aligned leaders in healthcare, not-for-profit, and industrial sectors. Most recently, as a Senior Associate with a top six international retained executive search firm, he managed comprehensive search engagements for executive director, vice president, and C-suite roles, delivering tailored talent solutions that align with the client’s mission and culture.
Before entering executive search, Tray served as a Special Agent with the FBI, where he led investigations into financial crimes and compliance issues. Earlier in his career, Tray demonstrated operational leadership as Director of Operations for KIPP Nashville, optimizing resources and implementing systems to support educational excellence.
Tray earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Lehigh University and a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University. He holds a certificate in Executive Research from the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC), underscoring his commitment to excellence in leadership placement.
