Steven Province was recently selected by Texas-based Providence Healthcare Network (PHN) to fill the position of Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. PHN is a ministry unit of Ascension Health, the largest faith-based (Catholic) and not-for-profit health system in the United States.
Most recently Province served as Support Services Administrator in Fresno, California at Kaiser Permanente, one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit integrated health systems. His previous management experience at Kaiser Permanente included management positions in supply chain logistics and performance improvement. Province previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry and served in the United States Navy. He holds an M.B.A. from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a B.A. from California State University, Northridge, and a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification.
“PHN is a well-established, comprehensive healthcare network with a reputation for delivering spiritually centered, holistic healthcare for more than 100 years,” said Ivan Bartolome, Senior Vice President of FaithSearch Partners. “As a key member of the executive team, Province will help this dynamic system meet the growing needs of the individuals and communities they serve.”
In his new position, Province will oversee most operational functions throughout PHN and will be responsible for cultivating a high-performing hospital climate to achieve improved patient care and overall system-wide operations in Waco and the surrounding Central Texas areas.
“We are pleased to have successfully concluded this search,” said Ed Fry, President of FaithSearch Partners. “We are confident that Province will bring a strong skill-set to the PHN senior leadership team as well as a personal commitment to support the organization’s mission and core values.”
