FaithSearch Partners has been retained to conduct the search for the Chief Clinical Officer for Florida Hospital’s East Florida Region, based in Orange City, just north of Orlando. The East Florida Region of Florida Hospital, one of the three Florida Hospital regions, consists of five acute care hospitals and one specialty hospital. The flagship hospital, Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, is a 276-bed tertiary hospital with a cardiac program including open heart surgery. Additionally, the region has a number of urgent care and ambulatory facilities.
The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) is a newly created role within the region and will oversee both medical and nursing care within the East Florida Region. He/she will be responsible and accountable for all matters relating to patient care, including quality/safety, patient experience and clinical integration. The CCO will be a member of the region’s executive council and chair the regional clinical integration council and serve on other clinical councils. As a member of the senior team, the CCO will be a critical and core team member for all regional strategic initiatives including the development of a regional clinical integrated network to manage the continuum of care for covered lives. This position will be responsible for leading the clinical teams of physicians, nurses and all staff who are part of the delivery of clinical care, assuring their professional competence and their access to continuing clinical education.
