Estate Planning Attorney

Since 1976, Barnabas Foundation has been advancing God’s kingdom by providing quality Planned Giving and Estate Planning services, which enable caring Christians to strengthen support for the ministries of their nearly 200 member organizations. Barnabas Foundation offers Planned Gift development and stewardship education for member organizations and churches and helps Christians make tax-wise decisions about their financial resources. The ministry is currently in search of an Estate Planner to work with their West Coast clients.

The Estate Planner’s primary responsibility is to help clients exercise good stewardship over the resources God has entrusted to them by assisting them in Estate Planning and Gift Planning. While there will also be times when the Estate Planner will need to network, a majority of their time will be spent on actual planning. This position will report to the Director of Planned Giving Services and will assist the Director of Marketing and Communications with the development and review of Planned Giving marketing materials.

The successful candidate will have a Juris Doctor, and a passion for the mission and vision of Barnabas Foundation. He/she should have experience in the field of estate and gift taxation, as well as familiarity with the field of charitable Planned Gifts. As this position does require some public speaking, candidates should be comfortable with speaking at member and church events, as well as board meetings, council meetings, donor events, and adult education classes and seminars. Ideal candidate locations include Seattle and Southern California, both of which are central to several clients, though approximately 30% of time may be spent traveling.
