Since 1893, the Pocket Testament League has sought to mobilize and equip Christians to read, carry and share the Word of God. In all, more than 110 million copies of the Gospel have been shared by League members since the start of this world-changing ministry. As the ministry continues to grow, they are seeking a Director of Ministry Advancement over the South-East Region to lead the League’s efforts in advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.
The Director of Ministry Advancement will be responsible for recruitment of significant financial and prayer resources enabling the Gospel to both penetrate the United States, and expand across the world. As more than 50% of the League’s Members require sponsorship, fundraising will be a crucial aspect of the job. The successful Director will develop relationships primarily in the business sector with Christians of capacity and vision, inviting them to support this ministry.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience developing and growing a sales territory, and will have done so leading other organizations through successful growth. A background in major gift development, planning and fundraising will be valuable, as well as a track record in building strong donor relationships. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, be a strategic thinker, and will be available to travel about 50% of the time, including occasional nights and weekends. The League’s highest priority though, is a long-term relationship with the Director, and as such, the most important quality is that he/she personally embrace the Mission and Work of the Pocket Testament League.
