Idlewild Baptist Church exists to help all people live in the rescuing power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Idlewild grew out of a small gathering of believers who officially established the church on Idlewild Avenue in Tampa, Florida in 1934. Out of God’s abundant blessing, the church now serves over 10,000 members from its 445,000 square-foot campus in Lutz, Florida. Idlewild is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its Accounting and Finance Department(s) and all aspects of financial administration as well as human resources, regulatory compliance, workers compensation, and the P&C liability insurance area of risk management.
The CFO’s primary aim is to assist Idlewild Baptist Church in fulfilling its mission through expert process and systems design, financial planning, and forecasting. The CFO will be responsible for leading a team of five direct reports in planning, developing, and measuring the responsibilities and deliverables of each department under his/her direction.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate spiritual maturity through a daily walk with Jesus Christ and have a faith alignment with the beliefs held by IBC. Membership with Idlewild Baptist Church is required. Bachelor’s degree + minimum 5 years in the field of accounting required; CPA/Master’s degree preferred.
