We are privileged to be working with Partners International a premier Christian non-profit located in the Spokane, WA to help identify and select a Chief Executive Officer to continue a reorganization effort. Serving as an objective outside operations implementation expert, evaluator/innovator and financial resources strategist, the Chief Executive Officer will make valuable contributions to the future success of this organization founded in 1943. The Board has provided the following general criteria:
• Mature Christ-follower and a heart for serving the Lord through a global missions organization;
• Experience in streamlining costs structures and processes with demonstrated understanding of accounting and financial process and management and Experience in budgeting and working within a board environment;
• Experience in fund raising best practices with demonstrated understanding of marketing and sales and key customer identification and relationships;
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate, develop and lead an executive team with the ability to bridge or breakdown silos to bring together divergent perspectives to operate as one team.
In addition, the CEO shall manage all of the business of the organization in accordance with the bylaws and policies adopted by the Board of Directors. She/he shall be the executive agent of the Board of Directors, and be responsible for all internal and external affairs as they relate to mission and ministry fulfillment, administration, strategic and financial oversight.
The CEO will provide and be responsible for the implementation of strategic plans designed to assist in the scale and fiscal accountability of Partners International’s mission of serving God’s servants. She/he will be a unifier for the organization, providing leadership acumen founded in integrity and trust to guide the organization and articulate the upcoming strategy to subordinates in a manner which creates strong morale and spirit within the team. The CEO will be a quick study able to grasp the complexities involved with the operations and administration of an international NFP environment. Just as essential as leadership acumen will be the role of the CEO as “the face” of PI in the realm of fundraising. Development and the ability to cultivate and communicate with high net worth donors in an effort to provide continued increases in sound financial guidance and stewardship are critical characteristics.
As Partners International is a global organization, the incoming CEO should bring a healthy exposure to cross-cultural/multi-ethnic business operations in the international sense. Exposure to NFP operations leadership and board experience will be considered crucial prerequisites for the successful candidate. As a 70+ year old organization looks to move to the future the successful candidate will respect the history, manage the present, and innovate and guide Partners International to the future.
