Covenant House California (CHC) is a non-profit agency whose mission is to reach out to at-risk homeless youth living on the streets and offer them hope and opportunities to turn their lives around. Since 1988, Covenant House California has impacted the lives of more than 160,000 homeless youth out of their Los Angeles and Bay Area locations.
CHC is currently seeking a Chief Development Officer to provide administrative supervision of the Development Department. This will include managing the department budget, monitoring department performance, staffing/training and scheduling, and meeting coordination. In addition to oversight of the agency’s Development efforts, he/she will be expected to maintain a major donor portfolio of 100-150 donors. The ideal candidate for this CDO role will hold a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree preferred, have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible fundraising experience in all facets of resource development, and familiarity with donor database software programs.
