FaithSearch Partners is pleased to announce that the Wisconsin-based nonprofit, Open Sky Education, has selected Ciji Pittman as the organization’s new President of Schools.
In her role, Pittman will provide leadership for the overall quality of the educational experience for students, teachers, supporters and parent partners in each Open Sky Education school across the nation. The President of Schools role is a new addition to Open Sky Education’s leadership team.
Andrew Neumann, CEO and Executive Chair of Open Sky Education, calls Pittman “a passionate educator dedicated to ensuring that every family and every child has great educational options that support a life of purpose and opportunity.” Mission Enterprise Team Vice President, Laura Weaver, says, “Ms. Pittman is an outstanding choice for the President of Schools role. Her understanding of academic achievement and collaborative style will allow this already-high-performing team of educators to excel in their mission.”
Pittman is nationally recognized for her education leadership, and she is no stranger to Open Sky. Prior to assuming her role as President of Schools, she served as a Principal Director for the organization’s Wisconsin region, where she coached principals and supported the delivery and instructional practices of school teams. Pittman holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. She is currently a fellow with the Leverage Leadership Institute.
