FaithSearch Partners is pleased to announce that its client, Oakwood University, has selected Dr. Gina Spivey-Brown as its next President, effective July 1. Oakwood University is the only HBCU within the Seventh-day Adventist denomination, with a rich history spanning more than a century.

Drawing from 30 years of experience as a professional administrator, educator, and nurse, Dr. Spivey-Brown has demonstrated exceptional leadership across multiple institutions at every level. Her comprehensive administrative expertise has enabled her to drive meaningful change and lead teams with both efficiency and effectiveness.
Dr. Spivey-Brown’s academic credentials reflect her commitment to excellence in higher education. She holds dual undergraduate degrees in nursing and biology from Oakwood. Her educational journey continued with a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University (1989) and culminated in a Ph.D. in Administration, specializing in Nursing, Policy and Ethics, from George Mason University (1999).
