FaithSearch Partners is pleased to announce that its client, Trinity Western University (TWU) in Langley, BC, Canada, has selected Dr. Susan Wendel as its next Provost, effective January 1. TWU is a globally recognized Christian liberal arts institution offering 48 undergraduate and 19 graduate degree programs across the liberal arts, sciences, and professional schools. At the core of its mission, TWU integrates faith and learning, shaping both academic excellence and personal development through a distinctly Christian worldview.

Since November 2024, Dr. Wendel has served as Academic Director of ACTS Seminaries and made substantial contributions to TWU’s academic community. As interim provost, she led the successful transition of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) into TWU’s official divinity school. Previously she served as seminary dean across three institutions—Briercrest College and Seminary, Horizon College and Seminary, and the Associated Canadian Theological Schools (ACTS). Dr. Wendel holds a doctor of philosophy from McMaster University, a master’s degree in theological studies from Briercrest Seminary and a bachelor’s degree of education from University of Regina.
