FaithSearch Partners is pleased to announce that its client, King University has selected Jose Larios as its next Vice President of Athletics, effective August 6th. King University is a distinguished comprehensive Christian institution located in Bristol, Tennessee. The university offers students access to more than 90 programs through five academic schools. Additionally, King University boasts a robust athletic presence with 29 competitive sports programs participating at the NCAA Division II level.

With nearly 25 years of coaching and executive leadership experience in higher education, Jose brings a proven track record of excellence. He most recently served as Vice President of Athletics and Enrollment Management at Montreat College, and previously held the position of Director of Athletics at Emmanuel College. His outstanding leadership has been recognized through numerous prestigious awards, including being named Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Director of the Year and earning recognition as a national finalist for NAIA Athletic Director of the Year in 2019. Additionally, Larios has been honored as Coach of the Year on twelve separate occasions, demonstrating his sustained commitment to excellence in both administrative leadership and athletic coaching.
He holds a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Western Carolina University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education from Warner University.
