Together, Maring and Wright bring decades of experience in board governance, executive leadership, and faith-centered coaching to support organizations navigating leadership transition, strategic decision-making, and institutional renewal.
Ms. Maring brings more than 35 years of experience as a consultant, nonprofit strategist, and attorney, with particular strength in governance effectiveness and leadership continuity. She has served in senior board and governance roles with organizations including Azusa Pacific University, Willow Creek Community Church, and the Christian Leadership Alliance. Her work includes chairing a presidential search committee and serving as board liaison during a significant executive transition, providing steady leadership through a defining institutional season. Ms. Maring is also the founder of Community Threads, a community enterprise that has generated more than $5 million to support local initiatives benefiting women, children, and families. She leads Maring R.E. LLC and is the author of The Nonprofit Playbook. Her advisory work focuses on strengthening boards, clarifying governance roles, and helping leaders align decision-making with mission and long-term impact.
Dr. Wright brings decades of executive leadership experience in Christian higher education, including service as Provost and later President of Indiana Wesleyan University. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with boards and senior leadership teams to shape strategy, support executive leaders, and guide institutions through periods of growth, challenge, and change.
Through Christian Education Services, Dr. Wright provides personalized consulting and leadership coaching to presidents, boards, and senior teams. His work centers on strengthening governance–leadership partnership, strategic clarity, and alignment of institutional policy and practice with mission. Known for his humility, listening posture, and pastoral wisdom, Dr. Wright is a trusted coach and thought partner to leaders carrying the weight of responsibility.
