FaithSearch Partners is pleased to announce that its client, Denver Seminary, has selected Dr. Gregg Okesson as its next Provost, effective July 1st. With a heart for the gospel and devotion to scholarly excellence, Denver Seminary has, for more than 70 years, prepared and sent thousands of graduates into the world, eager to work for the glory of God and confidently equipped to share the redemptive truths of Scripture.

Dr. Okesson brings extensive experience in theological education, missiology, and academic leadership, most recently serving as the Ira Gallaway and D.M. Beeson Chair of Leadership Development, Mission and Evangelism, and Professor of Leadership and Development at Asbury Theological Seminary. He received a B.A. from Wheaton College (Psychology and Bible), an M.A. from Wheaton Graduate School (Biblical Studies), an M.A. from Wheaton Graduate School (Intercultural Studies), and a Ph.D. in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Leeds, UK. He is the author of several acclaimed works, including A Public Missiology: How Local Churches Witness to a Complex World (2020), recipient of the Christianity Today 2021 Book Award, and co-author of Advocating for Justice (Baker Academic, 2016). He also co-edited Navigating Complexity in our World (2021) and Public Theology for Global Witness (2023). He is married to Dr. Kimberly Okesson, and they have two adult children.
