FaithSearch Partners is pleased to announce that its client, Calvin University, has selected Andrew “Andy” Gammons as its next Vice President for Enrollment Strategy, effective August 31, 2026.
Founded in 1876, Calvin University is a Christian liberal arts institution serving approximately 3,700 students in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Under the leadership of President Greg Elzinga, Calvin is building on significant enrollment momentum while remaining deeply rooted in its Reformed Christian mission to equip students to think deeply, act justly, and live wholeheartedly as Christ’s agents of renewal in the world.
“Andy brings proven enrollment leadership, a gift for storytelling, and a deep commitment to Calvin’s mission,” said Kimberley Wiedefeld, Senior Vice President at FaithSearch Partners. “He knows how to tell an institution’s story with clarity and conviction, build relationships around it, and translate mission into enrollment momentum. I’m excited to see him bring those strengths back to a place that has meant so much to him.”
Gammons most recently served as Executive Director of Admissions at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. Over the course of his five years at Taylor, Gammons led the university’s comprehensive undergraduate and transfer recruitment strategy, contributing to an enrollment increase of more than 60 percent and five of the largest incoming classes in the institution’s history. His responsibilities also included collaboration on multiyear enrollment planning, financial-aid strategy, and market development, as well as intentional partnership with academic affairs, marketing, student life, athletics, and finance.
Gammons brings more than 25 years of experience in higher education. Before joining Taylor, he served at the University of Northwestern–St. Paul, the University of Minnesota’s College of Liberal Arts, and Century College. He began his higher education career in student life, serving at the University of Saint Francis and, from 2001 to 2004, as a residence hall director at Calvin College. His appointment represents a return to an institution formative in his faith and career and to a community he knows and loves well.
Gammons holds a Master of Education in College Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Taylor University.
