Senior healthcare executive Craig Sims, FACHE, was recently named Senior Vice President, Hospital Operations of Texas-based Community Hospital Corporation (CHC) following a search engagement managed by FaithSearch Partners.
CHC was formed in 1996 by a group of not-for-profit and community-owned healthcare systems with the intention of preserving the not-for-profit status of community-based healthcare organizations. Currently CHC consists of six acute care hospitals and two LTACHs and provides support services to eight hospitals and health systems. Through its community hospital consulting division, CHC Consulting, the organization has provided consulting services for numerous hospitals across the United States.
“The SVP, Hospital Operations is a newly-created position with a major focus on overseeing all operational assessments and consulting projects for existing and new client hospitals,” said Ed Fry, President of FaithSearch Partners. “Craig not only has a strong background in acute care hospital operations, he has demonstrated a focus on strong service and has a record of success in entrepreneurial service organizations, making him uniquely qualified to serve CHC clients in this role.”
Sims has more than 25 years experience working with healthcare organizations across the nation. He has spent the majority of his career with Tenet, serving in key leadership roles including as President of Trinity Medical Center and RHD Memorial Medical Center in the Dallas area, Senior Vice President, Physician Services at MED3000, Inc. and most recently, Regional Vice President at Quorum Health Resources.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on the Board of Directors for a number of organizations including the Texas Hospital Association, the Health Industry Council and the Federation of American Health Systems.
