Mid-Atlantic Church Group Names Financial Leader

David VandeVere was recently selected as vice president of finance by the Potomac Conference of Seventh-day Adventists headquartered in Staunton, Virginia.  In his position, he will head the treasury department responsible for all accounting and financial management functions for the 167 churches, 20 schools and other conference-owned entities located in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and two counties in Maryland.

Most recently VandeVere served as pastor of Damascus (MD) Grace Fellowship church, a ministry role he held for the last ten years.  He previously was the treasurer in the Minnesota Conference and also practiced accounting in the Carolinas.  VandeVere is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.B.A. degree.
