FaithSearch Partners is pleased to announce that its client, Indiana University Health (IU Health), has selected Jay Foster as its next Vice President of Spiritual Care, Chaplaincy and Congregational Partnerships. Foster will lead spiritual care, chaplaincy, clinical pastoral education and congregational relations of IU Health in Indianapolis, Indiana. Under the branch of the Missions and Values division, it includes more than 30 staff members and a large clinical pastoral education program.

With 16 hospitals, Indiana University Health (IU Health) offers a full range of specialty and primary care services for children and adults. IU Health is the largest health system in Indiana and among the top ten largest single-state nonprofit health systems in the United States.

“IU Health’s commitment to spiritual care is unique in that it is a secular organization, though it’s Methodist Hospital flagship obviously has faith-based roots, said Ed Fry, FaithSearch President. “Foster is an experienced spiritual leader with a passion for pastoral care and has the professional capacity to incorporate interdisciplinary thinking in areas of organization, management & communication.” FaithSearch wishes him the best of luck in his new position.

Foster received his Doctor of Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2007 and holds a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School.  He most recently served as Director of Chaplaincy & Clinical Ministries for Wake Forest Baptist Health.
