FaithSearch Vice President Nancy Jernigan, PhD, is becoming more in demand as a leadership development professional trainer at large churches in Southern California, including Saddleback Church. One approach is to bring a variety of churches together for yearly conferences that encourage women to find their calling, whether that be their local communities to serve and lead, or participating in international missions, such as to Africa or Peru. In addition, churches bring her in to train their leaders in order for them to be more prepared, effective and developed in their area of ministry. A large emphasis in her leadership development is to enable leaders to inspire others to become leaders and active servants themselves.
Dr. Jernigan also encourages leadership development as a Life Coach, using a curriculum that trains leaders around the world to become Life Coaches. This multiplier allows more coach leaders to live out their calling and navigate transitions, rising to their potential. She has trained leaders throughout the U.S. as well as in New Zealand and Malaysia.
Enhancing her ministry leadership experience is Dr. Jernigan’s service on the board of Olive Branch International, a Christian non-profit organization involved in humanitarian relief efforts in 17 countries around the world. She is also a board member for Azusa Pacific University Seminary Friends Center. Jernigan’s graduate studies include masters and doctoral emphases in leadership development from Newburgh Theological Seminary.
