“Dr. Kenneth Shaw is new president of Southwestern Adventist University. Shaw, currently associate dean of academic programs at the Panama City campus of Florida State University, accepted the invitation of Southwestern’s board of trustees Monday to become the next president of the university.
‘We’re excited about this opportunity,’ Shaw told keenestar.net Monday from his office at FSU. ‘I’ve enjoyed Florida State, but I cannot wait to start at Southwestern.’
His first day on the job will be July 1.
The confirmation of Shaw ends a nationwide hunt by FaithSearch Partners that began in January when current President Eric Anderson announced his intention to retire after serving as president for nine years.”
