The First Congregational Church of Redlands (FCCR) has recently selected FaithSearch Partners to assist in the search for its new Senior Pastor. Built in 1880, FCCR is a mid-sized congregation made up of approximately 500 members and belongs to the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches.
The qualified candidate selected as FCCR’s Senior Pastor will provide spiritual and organizational leadership for the church, including Bible-based teaching, pastoral care, oversight of educational activities, administering sacraments, and conducting visitations, among other duties. The Senior Pastor will encourage growth within the congregation, both spiritually, numerically and financially, and develop trust and confidence with the church members and leadership.
“FCCR is a church with a long, solid history and a committed, active membership,” said Jeff Jernigan, Senior Vice President of FaithSearch. “We are utilizing our detailed and proven five-step search method to ensure that the best available candidates are evaluated and presented to the church’s search committee. Candidates must be passionate about the church’s growth and exhibit unparalleled leadership qualities and relational skills.”
FCCR gathers in its historical sanctuary with refurbished stained glass and a nationally recognized organ. It holds a special emphasis on children, youth, music and missions, including choral and instrumental music programs that date back more than a century. Bible-based preaching is held in two Sunday morning services and one monthly Sunday night contemporary service.
