FaithSearch Partners has been retained by Ohana Pacific Management Company (OPMC) in Oahu, Hawaii, to manage two searches, the first for their Chief Operating Officer and the second for a facility Director of Nursing. OPMC is a locally-owned and operated health care management company based in the Honolulu area (Kaneohe) of Hawaii and the largest post-acute organization in Hawaii, providing a continuum of healthcare services. With annual net revenues of approximately $47 million, OPMC consists of five skilled nursing facilities, two adult day health service facilities and a home health agency to support care transitions between the hospital, skilled nursing, rehabilitative programs and home.
The Chief Operating Officer reports to the President and serves as a critical leader for OPMC, directly responsible for operations of their PA/LTC operations. The Chief Operating Officer will be based in Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii, and will travel nearly 75 percent of the time as he/she will work with the seven Hawaiian facilities.
“I’m genuinely impressed by Ohana Pacific Management Company, by their quality of care and their deeply-rooted Christian values integrated in their operations of work. It is clear to me that OPMC is making a great impact on their Hawaiian communities, both clinically and spiritually,” said Scott Kuhlman, Senior Vice President at FaithSearch Partners. “Their future Chief Operating Officer will need to be a strong leader with significant experience in post-acute operations, ideally within a multi-facility system or corporate environment like OPMC. The future COO will also need to have a passion and enthusiasm for the company’s faith-based culture and be able to appreciate and integrate him/herself into the Hawaiian community.”
The second search is for a Director of Nursing position at Pu’uwai ‘O Makaha, a 93 bed rural skilled nursing facility in Waianae on the Island of Oahu, owned and managed by Ohana Pacific Management Company. Reporting to the Facility Administrator, the Director of Nursing will serve as a critical leader of the facility, directly responsible for nursing operations of the facility and for implementing effective and ongoing programs to improve quality of care.
“The future Director of Nursing for Pu’uwai ‘O Makaha will need to be a seasoned nurse leader in the skilled facility nursing arena,” said Kuhlman. “Like the Chief Operating Officer search, the next Director of Nursing will need to place value on OPMC’s Christian mission.”
