Search Announcement: Nashotah House Nashotah House Theological Seminary, an 182-year-old institution located on the outskirts of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is seeking a new Dean to shape the future of its ministry within the breadth of the Anglo-Catholic tradition. The Dean will follow the successful tenure of Dr. Garwood Anderson, who is resigning from the deanship to return to teaching.

FaithSearch Partners, a nationally recognized executive search firm with a primary focus on recruiting leaders for faith-based institutions, was selected by the Nashotah House Board of Directors to provide management support for the search. Representatives from FaithSearch Partners conducted almost three dozen personal interviews with Nashotah House constituents in late December and throughout the month of January, including on-campus discussions with students, faculty, and staff. From the interviews, the search consultants then offered a report to the Board of Directors, including a profile of the ideal candidate for the position. The board approved the document and the recommended process. As a result, the search for a new Dean is officially underway.

Among the many expectations for the Dean, priorities include continued progress in student enrollment and fundraising; effective management of operations; and maintaining trust with all constituencies of Nashotah House, especially students, faculty, and members of the Board of Directors. If the process proceeds as planned, a new Dean will be in place by the midpoint of this summer.

Fr. Ed Monk, Chair of the Board of Directors, said, “The Nashotah House board is fully committed to this process and we are grateful that it is being supported by individuals who understand the unique ministry role of the House. If plans develop as we think they might, we hope to have a new Dean in place within a few months, following in the steps of our respected leader, Gar Anderson. Dr. Anderson merits our appreciation and I know he will be fully supportive of the new Dean.”

Although FaithSearch Partners has performed extensive research to establish a significant pool of prospects for the position, referrals and nominations are invited and may be offered directly to Andrew Westmoreland, awestmoreland@faithsearchpartners.com, or Doug Duffield, dduffield@faithsearchpartners.com.
