FSP Leaders, an affiliate of FaithSearch Partners focusing on executive search in secular (non-faith-based) healthcare systems, has been retained to conduct the search for the Senior Vice President, Provider Enterprises/President, Multicare Medical Associates for its client MultiCare Health System in Tacoma, Washington. MultiCare Health System (MHS) is a five-hospital, regional, not-for-profit integrated health system based in Tacoma, Washington. With more than 11,000 employees and generating more than $2 billion in annual revenue, MHS enjoys a long and proud history of operating profitably while providing quality care to the South Puget Sound Region, one of the largest and fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the U.S.
The Senior Vice President, Provider Enterprises/President, Multicare Medical Associates reports to the President/CEO of MHS and assumes overall accountability and oversight for physician and provider-related operations and business ventures throughout the system. The role is responsible for the development, implementation and operation of MHS’s Clinically Integrated Network organizations as well as for the system’s residencies and the emerging Virtual Care/E-Care strategies. In addition, the SVP is responsible for overall leadership of MultiCare Medical Associates, the Urgent Care and Occupational Health Business units and their performance improvement. MultiCare Medical Associates is the physician and advanced practice provider employment vehicle for MHS and employs 800-plus physicians and advanced practice providers. There also continues to be a robust community physician component within the system. More than 2,300 physicians (employed and community) are part of a growing, clinically integrated network.
