Baptist Health Planning 12-acre Nocatee Health Campus
Nocatee, a master-planned community in Ponte Vedra, Florida, will soon house a new health campus. Baptist Health will break ground in early 2019 on the state-of-the-art facility which will provide expanded clinical services. “Our vision is to create a highly convenient, innovative center for health care and wellness services for the whole family,” said Matt Zuino, president of physician integration at Baptist Health.
Houston Methodist Hospital Embarks on Two Expansion, Renovation Projects
The Houston Methodist Research Institute’s imaging suite will be renovated and expanded, while the facility’s outpatient center will see a build-out of a new GMP cleanroom. According to Healthcare Design, the imaging suite will eventually hold three new pieces of imaging equipment in the 16,500 square feet. Both projects should be complete in Spring 2019.
Baptist Health Lexington’s New Graduate Transition to Practice Program Earns ANCC Accreditation
Baptist Health Lexington, Kentucky, a Magnet facility, has achieved accreditation with distinction for their New Graduate Transition to Practice Program. Baptist Health Lexington is one of only 56 hospitals worldwide to receive this designation. New graduate nurses entering the 12-month transition program receive classroom, simulation and clinical experiences to aid in their success as nurses in the hospital. Read the press release HERE.
Houston Methodist Employees’ Art Helps Patients Navigate the Emergency Department
Patient comfort and efficient use of space was the underlying goal when Houston Methodist Hospital renovated their emergency department. Changing the sterile white walls to calming colors and adding photographs taken by hospital employees added warmth to the department. At the same time, the stations and hallways were color-coded to provide clarity for family members, according to TMC News.
