OhioHealth Teams with Columbus Special Olympians for Free Physicals
For several years running, OhioHealth has partnered with the Columbus City Schools providing free physicals for the students participating in Special Olympics. The Press Release shared that many of the students haven’t had a physical in years and this provides an opportunity for learning that not all doctor visits are scary.
Baptist Health COO: ‘This is Like a 100-day Hurricane Drill’
Although all preparations for the COID-19 pandemic are similar to what the hospital would do for a hurricane, staff and patients are under increased stress. As reported by the Jax Daily Record, Chief Operating Officer Matt Zuino shared how Baptist Health has experienced hurricanes, the response to the Coronavirus has been different. “This is like a 100-day hurricane drill,” Zuino said. “A hurricane is a weeklong event for us. This could be a few weeks, a few months.”

International NGOs Lutheran World Relief and IMA World Health have added two key staff to bolster their response to COVID-19 in east and central Africa.
