Cypress Christian School is a K-12 college preparatory private school located in Cypress, Texas, serving over 650 students annually. As a private Christian school, the Christian emphasis and biblical worldview are an integral part of the academic curriculum, weekly chapel services, athletics, fine arts, and special programs. The elementary grades (K-5) provide a full range of academic coursework. In the primary grades, priority is given to teaching reading and arithmetic skills. All of the grades are given formal instruction in Bible, science, mathematics, social studies, reading, and language arts.
Cypress Christian School is seeking its next Elementary School Principal, who will work under the direction of the Executive Director (also referred to as “Head of School”) to provide primary oversight of all elementary programs. The Elementary Principal oversees all elementary teachers, staff, volunteers, and programs. The school administration may assign additional duties or specify other functions as needed.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Christian K-12 leadership, as well a track record of innovative and collaborative leadership. A graduate degree in education or equivalent is required with an Ed.D preferred. S/he will also have private Christian principal or assistant principal experience, as well as an unwavering buy-in to the Christian mission and vision of CCS. Leaders with evidence of innovative and creative problem-solving skills are also preferred.
