FaithSearch Partners is pleased to announce that it recently led Chicago Hope Academy, a private Christian high school located in the Near West Side of Chicago, through the search for its new Chief Advancement Officer. After an extensive search process, Angel Gutierrez was selected for the role, bringing with him a wealth of experience in fundraising and development for health and human services nonprofit agencies.
With more than 25 years of experience in executive leadership, governance, financial, operational, team building, and program development, Gutierrez is a seasoned leader in the field of advancement. He has held senior leadership positions at several organizations, including the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, Chairman of the Board for St. Daniel the Prophet Grammar School, and Co-Chair of the Nuestro Futuro (Hispanic Heritage) Affinity fund at Chicago Community Trust. In his new role at Chicago Hope Academy, he will lead the school’s fundraising and development efforts and oversee marketing and communications.
Chicago Hope Academy is a unique educational institution that provides a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum in a Christian environment. The school serves a diverse student body, with over 70% of students coming from low-income families. As a nonprofit organization, the school relies heavily on philanthropic support to provide scholarships and financial aid to its students.
The search for the Chief Advancement Officer position was conducted by a leading executive search firm with a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector and a commitment to finding the right candidate for the role. The firm worked closely with Chicago Hope Academy to understand the school’s needs and goals and to identify candidates who shared the school’s values and mission.
“The placement of Angel Gutierrez as Chief Advancement Officer at Chicago Hope Academy is a testament to the school’s commitment to excellence and its dedication to providing a high-quality education to all students, regardless of their background or financial situation,” stated FaithSearch Partners lead search consultant, Scott Kuhlman. “With his leadership, the school will be able to continue its important work of transforming the lives of young people and making a positive impact in the community.”
