FaithSearch Partners is pleased to announce its client, Centura Health, has selected Amy King as its new Senior Vice President/Chief People Officer, effective Jan. 3, 2017.

“I am honored to be joining the more than 21,000 Mission-centered professionals at Centura Health and becoming part of the region’s largest health care network. As a longtime resident of Denver, I understand the important and critical role that Centura Health plays in our community and am excited to join the best hearts and minds in medicine,” said King.

Reporting to the President of Centura Health, as Senior Vice President/Chief People Officer, King will be responsible for overall delivery and management of all system-wide human resources functions. She will be a major contributor to business strategy and will be a member of the senior management team, involved in key business decisions.

With 16 years of human resources leadership experience, King most recently served as Vice Chancellor of Human Resources for the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. She holds a master’s degree of professional studies in leadership and organizations from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree of science in organizational management from Colorado Christian University.

“Amy brings to Centura Health a healthy balance of strategic people thinking and roll-up-your-sleeves operational human resources, which will be critical to helping us fulfill our Mission. At her core, she is a collaborative leader with a strong connection to our Christian healing ministry and solid roots in our community,” said Peter D. Banko, the system’s president and chief operating officer.

FaithSearch Partners, the leading executive search firm focused on faith-based hospitals, healthcare systems, colleges/universities, churches and ministries, was retained to manage this Chief People Officer search for Centura Health.

“Amy is an excellent candidate, a talented and winsome individual with a broad and deep HR leadership background in large not-for-profit institutions,” said Kim Moeller, FaithSearch Partner’s Vice President in Colorado Springs.

“Included in Amy’s experience is 14 years on Centura’s Porter Adventist Hospital’s board of trustees and committees, making her already knowledgeable about and invested in the success of Centura Health,” said Jim Boyle, Senior Vice President at FaithSearch Partners. “With her expertise, she will guide human capital strategies for Centura Health, ensuring it maintains an engaged workforce with a supportive environment for those employees to work, collaborate, and grow.”
