For the eighth consecutive time, Mercy Hospital St. Louis received an “A” grade from leapfrog group’s hospital safety grade. Reported by Fox 2 News, the award is based on performance in preventing medical errors, infections and other harm among patients in their care, The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is calculated by top patient safety experts, peer reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. It is updated every six months, once in the fall and once in the spring.

In an effort to meet the community’s needs, Mercy Branson Multispecialty Clinic opened its doors November 5, 2018. Fifteen specialty services as well as family medicine and urgent care are offered. Mercy Health – Lorain Breaks Ground on Allen Medical Building in Oberlin
A new, 20,000 square foot state-of-the-art medical center at Mercy Health-Allen Hospital in Oberlin, Ohio will offer comprehensive and coordinated care, according to the press release. “Today’s ground-breaking renews our commitment and promise to helping make health care easier and providing care access where it is needed most,” said Ed Ruth, President of Mercy Health – Allen Hospital. Mercy Health Walk-in Care and primary care offices will use the new facility as well Oberlin College students. The Mercy Health Allen Medical Office Building is scheduled to open late 2019.
