FaithSearch Partners, the leading executive search firm focused on faith-based hospitals, healthcare systems, colleges/universities, churches and ministries, is pleased to announce its client, Ascension Health’s Gulf States Ministries, has selected John Halstead as its new Chief Mission Integration Officer (CMIO).
As CMIO, Halstead will create and lead initiatives to shape the strategy and culture in accordance with the mission of the ministry. His responsibilities encompass mission project coordination, pastoral care coordination, spiritual formation and values integration.
“John is a remarkable candidate having a varied history in ministry, with a strong emphasis in Catholic healthcare ministry leadership,” said Jeff Jernigan, Senior Vice President and Ministry Division Leader at FaithSearch Partners. “With his expertise, he will lead mission strategies for Ascension Health’s Gulf States Ministries, integrating the Catholic identity into the culture, operations and policies.”
Halstead most recently served for the last seven years as Vice President of Mission and Ethics for Mercy Health System in Rogers, Arkansas. Prior to that role, he served as Executive Director of Mission Integration for Catholic Healthcare Partners in Tiffin, Ohio. He holds a master’s degree of divinity from Winebrenner Theological Seminary, a master’s degree of educational administration from Ohio Bible College, and a bachelor’s degree in theological studies from Pensacola Christian College.
