Adventist Health White Memorial Hospital Wins Prestigious Malcolm Baldrige Award
Adventist Health White Memorial Hospital is the only California organization to be awarded the 2019 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation’s only presidential award for performance excellence and visionary leadership. As noted by SpectrumNews1, this award puts the hospital in the top two percent of hospitals in the entire United States. The hospital received the award in part because of a program that allows members of the community to start as volunteers and become nurses.
Fifteen AdventHealth Hospitals Recognized for the Highest Quality, Safety in the Country
The Leapfrog Group recently released its latest Top Hospital designations, recognizing the highest performing hospitals. Qualifications for the Top Hospital award include performance in areas such as infection rates, practices for safer surgery, maternity care and the ability to prevent medication errors. Keith A. Parrott Named President and CEO of AMITA Health
AMITA Health, a joint healthcare operating company of Ascension and AdventHealth serving residents of the greater Chicago area has a new President and CEO. Keith Parrott, FACHE assumed the role on January 13, and brings nearly 30 years of faith-based, healthcare experience to the role. According to the Press Release, Parrot holds a Master of Healthcare Administration, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and has a history of community involvement.
Adventist Health to Take Over 20th California Hospital
Stockton California’s Dameron Hospital is no longer searching for a partner. Adventist Health took over the management of the hospital the first of the year. Hospital President and CEO Lorraine Auerbach, who stepped down on December 31, said, “With the many changes and challenges in healthcare, being connected to a system offers many advantages for a freestanding hospital like Dameron.” Read the complete Press Release.
Kettering Health Names New President for Dayton Hospital
Daniel Tryon has been named president of Southview Medical Center effective January 8. According to Dayton Business Journal, Tryon has worked for Kettering since 2011, most recently in the Middletown facility.
