HealthSearch Partners, a FaithSearch affiliated firm,  has been retained by Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) to lead a nationwide search for a Chief Operating Officer over their Texas Division.

The $2.3 billion annual revenue CHI Texas Division consists of three markets:

  • CHI St. Luke’s Health, which is home to Baylor St.Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Texas Heart Institute (THI), seven hospitals in the Greater Houston area, as well as multiple outpatient facilities.
  • CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial is comprised of three hospitals and a long-term acute care facility in East Texas.
  • CHI St. Joseph Health encompasses five hospitals, two long-term care facilities, one freestanding emergency center, four urgent care clinics, and several St. Joseph Medical Group locations across Brazos Valley.

“CHI St. Luke’s has a legendary reputation in healthcare for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the Texas Heart Institute, where pioneering work in cardiovascular care has occurred for several decades,” said Ed Fry, President of HealthSearch Partners. “The Texas Division COO of its Texas Division will serve a critical role, with the CEOs of all of its hospitals reporting to it. Successful candidates will need to be seasoned operational leaders with the ability to move strategic initiatives forward and unify the system’s culture and operations. They will also need to have an appreciation for the system’s dedication to its faith-based mission, vision and values.”
